Enrollment for lessons and bands are on an ongoing basis, there are no breaks in between the semesters and enrollment is continuous through each semester. If you would like to stop lessons or a band, a 2-week notice is required before your next billing cycle.

Tuition is billed on the first of every month by automatic payment. Tuition covers the costs of lessons and bands for the entire month. The Big Gig Fee is a $50 fee billed in the months of February, June, and September. This fee is to help cover some of the costs of the venue, production, and other various expenses of the Big Gig.

Cancellation Policy:

Termination of participation in our programs requires a written notice of cancellation via a Change of Services form submission on our website (www.lakehousemusicacademy.com/change-of-services). This must be submitted at least 15 days in advance of the next billing cycle (1st of the month).

Private Lesson Appointments

LhMA allows for two (2) makeup credits per semester for private lessons only.

There are no makeups for group lessons.

Makeup credits, if not used, expire at the conclusion of the semester. Makeup credits are only offered for lessons that are early canceled (canceled during our office hours at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled lesson time via an email to info@lakehousemusicacademy.com, phone call to 732-455-5462, or text message to 855-553-0397).

Makeup lessons are not credited towards tuition.

Late Cancellation Defined - Any private lesson appointment that is canceled with less than 24 hours notice or on the same day as the scheduled lesson is considered a Late Cancel and does not qualify for a makeup credit.

Early Cancellation Defined - Any private lesson appointment that is canceled with at least 24 hours notice or by our office closing time the evening before the scheduled lesson is considered an early cancellation and qualifies for one (1) makeup credit. Students are allotted 2 makeup credits per semester.

Makeup lessons are non-transferable to other clients or family members.

If you cancel a scheduled makeup lesson, that makeup is forfeited.

Notifying your instructor of your absence does not count as a proper cancellation and will not be honored as a makeup lesson. All lessons must be canceled through our operations team via an email to info@lakehousemusicacademy.com, phone call to 732-455-5462, or text message to 855-553-0397.

All makeup lessons become void when a client becomes inactive.

Group Classes

Makeup lessons are not offered for group classes.

Semesters typically last the following lengths and months:

Spring Semester (FEB - JUN)

Summer Semester (JUN - SEP)

Fall Semester (SEP - FEB)

Each semester is bookended by the Big Gig, which dates vary from year to year, within those months outlined above.

Pike13 is the software we use for scheduling and billing. You can view your schedule and change your payment method through Pike13.

Musico is where all lesson assignments and materials are kept. Students will use Musico for their private lessons and for band rehearsals.

The Big Gig is our showcase event for all of our bands in the academy. Big Gig dates and venues are announced at the beginning of each semester. Each band will perform a 20-35 minute set of the songs they have been working on during the semester. Venues for the Big Gig change every semester, and are held at various music venues in the Jersey Shore area.

We hold one student recital every semester, recital dates are announced at the beginning of each semester. This is a great opportunity for students to perform what they have been learning in their private lessons! Solo, duet, and trio performances welcome. **Makeup lessons are not offered for holiday or snow closures. Tuition is based on a four (4) week month and months that contain five (5) weeks of lessons count as a makeup for holidays or snow days.
