Ryan Gordon

A drummer turned singer and guitarist, Ryan Gordon has 10+ years of experience performing, producing, and songwriting.  He has been heavily inspired by Metal, Latin Grooves, Funk, and Rock on percussion.  While on the guitar, a softer influence of blues and pop. Alongside these music styles, he’s worked with many other genres, from Jazz to Country.

He began his musical journey as a drummer, studying at Toms River Music Academy for 3 years. It wasn’t long before he became self-taught at the piano, and eventually guitar. He returned to Toms River Music Academy in 2017 to study voice, guitar, and music theory to prepare himself to write and sing his own songs. Ryan also studied Audio Engineering and Music Technology through Ocean County Vocational Technical School and continued to study at Brookdale Community College. In 2018, Ryan founded Brookdale Community College’s Music Tech Club to help educate students in a recording studio setting. Ryan received his Associate's Degree in Music Technology from Brookdale Community College and graduated from Rowan University with a B.A. in Advertising.

With 7 years of experience playing in bands and with local artists, he has performed in venues such as the Stone Pony, Chubby Pickle, Red Tank Brewery, and Asbury Park Convention Hall. Ryan has performed in metal bands, pop/rock/punk bands, jazz bands, country/acoustic bands, along with fronting his own band (performing original songs and covers.) In Spring 2018, Ryan joined the Brookdale Community College Rock Band. That same semester, the band took an opportunity to open for Sublime with Rome at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ.
