Mike McConville
Guitar | bass
Mike started his music career as a guitarist at a young age and after high school entered Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of Arts, program with it’s main emphasis on musical theory and harmony in both Classical and the Jazz bebop idioms. Subsequently he entered NYU’s Institute of Audio Research, jumpstarting his path to producing, engineering and mixing a multitude of bands and recording artists and doing session work in some of Manhattan’s most prestigious studios such as The Hit Factory, all along with teaching privately and at music schools alike..Songwriting and his own musical endeavors culminated in the collaboration with vocalist Mitch Malloy and the eventual signing of a recording contract with RCA records. As time was not allowing, he hadn’t taught for a time until starting again in 2020 to date, feeling gratification in giving back the nurturing and knowledge given to him in his formative years.
