Mike Bustamante has been learning and playing music for over 20 years. Beginning in the school band on the trombone and truly finding a voice with the drums and guitar a few years later. Mike can play and teach a variety of styles on the electric guitar and acoustic guitars. He is well studied in music theory, song writing and improvisation and he brings that
knowledge into his lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.

Teaching and playing professionally has offered Mike a bevy of experience in the industry. Session work, live music, short tours, original music, cover bands, event bands, work as a sideman/hired gun, song writing collaborator, front man, band leader, music direction and private and group lessons.

Mike’s approach to music and teaching is based on fun and expression. Getting to know his students and getting to know what has led them towards music is paramount in his teaching style and approach to lessons. It should be understood that music is a wonderful journey to be on in your life and it is different for everyone. Mike’s hope is to make it more informative, exploratory and enjoyable for his students and listeners.
