Drums

Doug Miller holds a Bachelors of Science in Music Education degree from
Kutztown University, and a Masters of Music in Music Technology from Southern Utah University. He is a Pro Tools Certified Specialist, a Sabian Endorsed artist, a national clinician, and an international performing artist. He has studied with Willis Rapp, Frank Kumor, A.J. Merlino, and Jon Grill.

Doug has been a band director in NJ public schools for 8 years now. He has
taught Concert and Marching band, Jazz band, Music Technology, Theory and AP Theory, Songwriting, General Music, Rock and Roll, Film music, and Percussion Ensemble over the years. He is a national guest conductor and clinician for high school concert/marching bands, as well as a composer/arranger for marching percussion drumline and front ensemble field shows for the competitive and non- competitive field
shows.


He gives music lessons specifically on marching percussion, mallet
percussion, drum set, guitar, bass, piano, and voice. Before all of that, Doug got his start in drums from being in a Slayer cover band. From there he went on to play in Jazz, Ska, Rock, Punk, Pop- Punk, Metal, Easy-core, and Hard-core bands. You can still catch him listening to early 2000’s pop punk in his free time. He also plays guitar solo whenever possible.
