Chill Smith is a self-produced artist, rapper, and audio engineer from Paterson, New Jersey. He discovered his passion for music at 14, inspired by Eminem’s The Slim Shady LP, and began writing his own lyrics soon after.
After graduating high school, Chill attended OCTVS for audio engineering, where he honed his skills in recording and mixing. He produces in Ableton Live and records and mixes in Pro Tools, blending the lyrical depth of artists like Nas, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar with production influences from Hit-Boy, Jake One, and The Alchemist.

As an independent artist, Chill has released several projects, including his acclaimed album Pretty Everyday, which earned him the Hip-Hop Album of the Year award from Elephant Talk Indie. He was also nominated for an Asbury Park Music Award, solidifying his presence in the local music scene. Chill has toured the country twice and graced stages across the East Coast, appearing at venues such as The Stone Pony, The Strand Theater, and House of Independents. He has shared the stage with legends like Joe Budden, Eric B. & Rakim, Pharoahe Monch, The Sugarhill Gang, and Nappy Roots.
