Joe Parella is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist in the band Deal Casino and currently residing in Asbury Park, NJ. Joe studied guitar and songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has been instructing at Lakehouse since the beginning. Skilled within multiple styles and genres of music has also allowed him to be a session instrumentalist on many of the recordings that come out of Lakehouse for other artists. Joe teaches private lessons as well as group classes of all ages at our academy.

At ten years old, Natalie Newbold picked up her first pair of drum sticks. Fifteen years later, she is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, lead singer, studio musician, producer, composer, teacher, and touring musician. Since high school, she has been playing historic and acclaimed venues throughout New Jersey like the Stone Pony and Starland Ballroom, and she has studied music theory at her alma mater, Rutgers University. In 2012, Natalie teamed up with her cousin, a local filmmaker named Tom Kircher, and composed the scores for his award-winning short films “The Dead Rose” and “Wraith.” She spends most of her weekends playing shows up and down the east coast as the guitarist and lead singer of the band Well Wisher.
Natalie has been a dedicated and inspiring teacher at Lakehouse Music Academy for the past 3 years working with both kids and adults. As an instructor, she combines real-life, practical musicianship, traditional theory, with a progressive teaching style that is both fun and enlightening for her students.

Lisa graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in Music Education, where she studied piano with Dr. Tomoko Kanamaru and voice with Kathryn Moyer and Robert Guarino. She is currently a full time general music teacher and has been teaching privately for over 8 years. Aside from performing professionally, she also serves as an accompanist, guest conductor, and music director in various schools, churches, and ensembles throughout New Jersey.

Mike first picked up the guitar when he was 9 years old, solidifying music as his lifelong dedication. Throughout the years he also picked up keyboards, drums, bass, and singing which allowed him to further refine his craft. As a primarily self taught musician, he was able to encapsulate his identity as a writer early on. Hes been performing/teaching professionally since he was 16.
Mike Roman is a multi-instrumentalist who traverses a wide array of musical domains. His own band No More Pain showcases a fusion of progressive rock/metal with a songwriter and conceptual sensibility. Mike primarily specializes in rock, metal, jazz, and experimental music, but will never confine himself to any specific genre. Aside from NMP, he has worked on soundtracks for independent video game developers, and stop motion comic series Spirit Legends. He is also working on music for his own upcoming endeavors as well.

Originally hailing from Astoria, Queens, Rob Tanico started his professional musical career as a founding member of the New Jersey based acoustic trio, EMI/SBK recording artists MR. Reality. Their debut album was produced by Danny Kortchmar, (Carole King, James Taylor, Don Henley), which featured Rob on bass and vocals providing rich harmonies. In support of this record, the band toured nationally including opening slots for musical heavyweights such as Bob Dylan and Bon Jovi.
Mr.Reality evolved into Highway 9 including lineup additions and a more electric sound, securing them a deal with Epic records. Their album, "What in Samhill," produced Peter Collins (Indigo girls, Rush, Nik Kershaw), achieved critical acclaim and moderate airplay across the country.
Having been influenced heavily by pop, rock and R&B, Rob’s approach to his instrument is melodic and soulful. Already an accomplished songwriter, Rob has continued to expand his musical repertoire, adding lead vocalist, keyboards, lead and rhythm guitar, and production and remix artist to his resume. He has gone on to record, perform, and co-write with various artists both national and local such the Jonas Brothers, Val Emmich and Alex Brumel. Rob’s contributions can be heard on many recordings coming from the New York/New Jersey music scene.

Mackenzie Brown is a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist. Growing up in a household surrounded by music, Mackenzie has acquired a diverse background in many styles and generations of music. She is the lead vocalist and plays guitar and keyboard in the band MACK, based out of Asbury Park. The band has a fresh, new-age take on a classic sound. Mackenzie instructs vocals, piano, and guitar in group classes and in private lessons.
DAVID ROSS LAWN

David Ross Lawn is a published and commissioned composer and performer of oboe, piano and voice. Upon graduating with a dual degree with honors in oboe and piano performance, David performed with various symphony orchestras, concert bands, choirs and opera companies around Scotland and beyond. He has also obtained certified ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall distinction and merits in advanced grades of oboe and piano performance. David was then admitted with scholarship to Westminster Choir College (Princeton) where he achieved a masters degree in Theory and Composition.
David's vocal training is primarily from a method coined as 'Yoga Voice,’ and has taken intensive courses in the practice, which combines the ideals of yoga and the training of operatic vocal training. He regularly performs in a variety of vocal styles, from opera crossing into contemporary musical theatre and modern styles. He has been a featured soloist and choral member in Grammy-nominated Williamson Voices, the Same Stream community of singers, and the Jubilee Singers. As a composer, he has received a number of awards and publishings with GIA Publications, and works freelance as both a composer and performer in his range of styles.
